Our Mission at Chosen By Dogs is to see fewer dogs entering rescue centres
The founders of Chosen By Dogs have worked with breed specific rescues for over 6 years and during that time have seen more and more working dog breeds enter rescues. The reasons are complex but a number of cases are due to time commitments which were not envisaged at the start of dog ownership. We are not judging here at all, we all make mistakes and have to either learn by them or live with them. Our hope is by educating and providing resources, information and down to earth advice we can help you sort out worries, niggles and behavioural problems early on, either by you having and using the knowledge yourself and being able to apply it to your own dog(s) or by accessing quality help, training and professional advice so your dog can stay with you and you enjoy your dog.
A lifelong commitment
A dog will live for 10-15 years, sometimes longer and will be part of your family and live your lifestyle, you owe it yourself, your family and most of all your dog to maximise the enjoyment you will share together. That means time; effort and accommodating the dog’s needs for all of its life and getting really clear on what all of those stages will look like. Our gift to you is to provide the information you need to get the best from the relationship with your dog.
